Local server — Head Judges and superior judges can rewatch

Allows head and superior judges to replay an exercise from the scoring portal, after the exercise has finished. The public cannot use it. Requires running a small application on a laptop that serves recorded videos over the local Wi-Fi network. It is fast and has no need for internet upload, which makes it ideal when the venue's internet connection is poor.

Judges can also rewatch from the Acro Companion cloud and the YouTube livestream. When several are on, the local server is tried first.

1. Prerequisites

• Camera running for the zone

2. Enable it

1. Go to Administration → Scoring Config → Video Integration and tick IRCOS.

2. Select Competition uses AC Mobile device integration.

3. Under Judge replay (IRCOS), select Save exercises on competition hall local server for judges.

   

3. Setup

Download the Mac or Windows version, then paste the generated URL into the Local Server Url field.

3.1 Windows

1. Click Windows → on the page that opens, click Download.

   

2. If Google displays a warning that it cannot scan the file, click Download anyway.

   

3. Open the downloaded file. If Microsoft Defender SmartScreen appears, click More info. Note: The warning only appears because the app is not code-signed yet.

   

4. Click Run anyway to launch the installer.

   

5. Open the installed app and click Copy URL.

   

3.2 Mac

1. Click Mac, then click Download.

   

2. If your browser displays a warning that it cannot scan the file, click Download anyway.

   

3. Drag Acro Local Server to the Applications folder.

   

4. In Video Integration, click the xattr link to copy the Terminal command.

   

5. Open Terminal, paste the command, and press Enter (clears the macOS quarantine flag).

   

6. Open the Acro Local Server app and click Copy URL.

   

3.3 Connect it to Acro Companion

Paste the copied URL into the Local Server Url field.

⚠️ Keep the Local Server running throughout the competition. If the laptop is turned off, goes to sleep, or disconnects from the Wi-Fi network, judges cannot replay videos until it becomes available again.

4. How judges watch

After an exercise has finished, head and superior judges can open the video by clicking the Video button on the scoring screen.

⚠️ The Local Server must remain running and connected to the same Wi-Fi network throughout the competition. If it becomes unavailable, judges cannot replay videos from it until it becomes available again.
