Open your Competition

1. Where to start

  1. In the sidebar, with your competition selected, click Registrations.
  2. If you don't see this in the sidebar, it might be because you're not a manager for this competition.
    Learn how to become a manager of an organization.
  1. Make sure you are in the Overview tab at the top of the page.

1.1 Change Competition Status

To allow clubs to start registering:

  1. On the right side of the page, click the Lock icon;
  2. This will change the competition status to Open.

Once the competition is open:

  • The lock icon will update to show that registrations are enabled;
  • Clubs can start submitting their registrations immediately.

After opening registrations:

  • You will receive:
    • Email notifications;
    • In-app notifications.

These notifications are sent whenever:

  • A new registration is submitted;
  • An existing registration is updated.

1.2 Organisations that can join the competition

1.2.a How it works

1.2.b National competitions

  1. When a competition with membership registrations is created, the system automatically sets the organisation to the highest Federation.
  2. When a club views available competitions, the system checks whether the club belongs to that federation or one of its Regions/States.

Result: Only eligible clubs can see and register.

1.2.c International competitions

  1. When a competition with membership registrations is created, NO organisation restriction is set.
  2. The competition is configured as International.

Result: All clubs can see and register for the competition.

1.2.d Examples:

National Competition (Germany)

  • Organisation: German Federation
  • Type: National
  • Result: Only German clubs can register

Regional Competition (Northern Portugal)

  • Organisation: Associação de Ginástica do Norte
  • Type: National
  • Result: Only regional clubs can register

International Competition (World Gymnastics World Cup)

  • Organisation: Not set
  • Type: International / Official
  • Result: All clubs worldwide can register

Scottish Competition (under Great Britain)

  • Organisation: British Federation
  • Type: National
  • Result: All clubs under Great Britain (including Scotland) can register

1.3 Registration closing date

You can define the deadline for registrations.

  1. Enter the desired date using the format DD/MM/YYYY.

This date is for informational purposes only and does not automatically enforce any system restrictions. Registrations will remain open until they are manually closed.

After this date, clubs are expected not to submit new registrations. However, they can still modify existing registrations until the competition starts, as long as the registration status has not been cancelled.
