Configuring Judges Panels

Before configuring the judges panels, make sure that you have read and met all the requirements presented in the Introduction chapter, especially in the Administration Information and Requirements subchapter.

1. Where to start

  1. In the sidebar, select your competition and click Administration.

  2. If you don’t see this option, you may not be a manager for this competition.
    Learn how to become a manager of an organization.

2. Panels Compositions

To be able to see and edit the panels compositions, make sure to first create all the competition zones and sessions. Then go to the Panels Compositions tab and select the competition zone you want to edit the panels for.

The amount of panels displayed on this page is configured in the General tab.
Any Changes made to the panel configuration in the General are automatically reflected in this table.

2.1 Configuring the judges roles' amounts per session and panel

In the Panels Composition tab, you can define how many judges are assigned to each role per session and panel.

You can also use the Adapt all session-panels simultaneously option to apply the same number of judges for each role across all sessions and panels within the selected competition zone.

After adding all the information on this tab, click the Save button on the right side of the page.

3. Judges

The Judges tab allows you to add, edit, or remove judges from the competition.

3.2 Adding judges manually

  1. Click the Add button on the right side of the page.
  2. Enter the judge´s details.
  3. Click Save after adding all judges.

3.3 Format Judges Names

You can standardize judges’ names for consistency:

  1. Click the Format button in the Judges tab.
  2. Choose a format and click Ok.

Format options:

  • Normal: Capitalizes the first letter of each name.
  • Official: Capitalizes the first letter of the first name and all letters of the last name.

4. Judges Panels

Before editing the judges panels, make sure all competition zones, sessions, judges and panels are created.

Instructions for adding judges and configuring panels are provided in this chapter, in the Judges and Panels subchapters.

The Judges Panels tab allows you to assign judges to specific roles on each panel.

4.1 Selecting the panel you want to edit

  1. If your competition has more than one competition zone, use the dropdown at the top of the page to select the desired zone.
  1. Then select the session for which you want to edit the panels.

4.2 Assigning a judge to the panel

  1. Click the Add button next to a judge role.
  1. The Show available judges section at the bottom of the page expands, displaying a list of available judges and their judging information.
  1. Click a judge row to select a judge. The judge’s details are displayed next to the selected role.

The steps above describe the behavior when the Add or remove judge on all judge panels button is turned off (blue) .

When the Add or remove judge on all judge panels button is turned on (orange) .

  • Clicking the Add button adds the selected judge to the same role on all panels within the currently selected competition zone.
  • Clicking the Delete button removes the judge from that role on all panels in the same zone.

As shown in the example below, after adding a judge to the last position of the current panel using the corresponding button, the judge was also added to the second panel.
